the Planting of 2,000 Trees on Arbor Day 2010

Phoenix, AZ - April 27, 2010 - Dr. Pogue, CEO of Complete Consulting, Inc. is celebrating Arbor Day 2010 through her company’s annual Arbor Day Gift Tree mailing this April. More than 2,000 clients, colleagues, and friends are scheduled to receive a ready-to-plant Gift Tree from the national Arbor Day Foundation, a nonprofit conservation and education foundation. Proceeds directly benefit the organization.

“We encourage all of our clients, colleagues, and friends to join us in sinking our hands into the dirt for a good cause,” says Dr. Pogue. “This is our fourth Arbor Day Gift Tree mailing, and every year it’s incredibly well-received. Seedlings are simple, yet powerful reminders of the potential for growth inherent in all living things.”

“We view our donation as following in a great American tradition,” continues Dr. Pogue. The first Arbor Day celebration took place in Nebraska in 1872 and was spearheaded by J. Sterling Morton, then Secretary of the Nebraska Territory. Ignited by Morton’s enthusiasm, Nebraskans planted more than one million trees. “Interestingly, Morton promoted Arbor Day heavily in the schools. Many of our Arbor Day Gift Trees are passed onto children who actually do the planting,” added Dr. Pogue.
