Dr. Pogue Recognized as 2011 National Association of
Corporate Directors Board Leadership Fellow

Washington, DC — July 26, 2011 — Dr. Laura Pogue, Chief Executive Officer of Complete Consulting, Inc., a leader in online education, earned the title of 2011 National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Board Leadership Fellow in July. She is among 16 newly credentialed NACD Board Leadership Fellows and among the first graduating class to earn the distinction.

"As a management instructor, it is imperative that I stay informed and current on all of the latest government corporate governance regulations and their day-to-day impact on corporations," says Dr. Pogue. "As we've seen in recent years, boardrooms are the foundations of management. More than ever, students need to understand the responsibilities of board members, current legislation, and the cultural and political climate in which boards are operating."

Dr. Pogue and her peers, all experienced directors, have completed a comprehensive program of study designed to keep them up-to-date on current boardroom issues, such as how to comply with Dodd-Frank, how to manage risk, and how to ensure board diversity. Specifically, Dr. Pogue completed the NACD Master Class as well as an addition 10 hours of NACD education within 12 months.

"For a board to serve as a strategic asset to a company, it needs well-rounded directors who stay informed on cutting-edge issues and leading practices," said Ken Daly, president and CEO of NACD. "The NACD Board Leadership Fellow designation demonstrates the highest standards of director professionalism. We are proud of this first cadre of Board Leadership Fellows and proud that our 11,000-strong director community is leading the way in director education."
